Handmade, Hand-Stamped Pet ID Tags & Keyrings
Every tag is handmade by me in my workshop in Portsmouth. Each design is individually hand-stamped into the metal using a hammer, giving every piece its own unique character. Both the front and back of the tag can be personalised, making them perfect as pet identification tags or as thoughtful keyrings.

What’s Included
❖ Front of Tag
You can choose a name, initial, or just the design.
Example:
Front: FREDDY
❖ Back of Tag
Customisable with 2 lines of text, with a maximum of 12 characters per line (including spaces & punctuation). Additional lines can be purchased if needed.
Example:

Line 2: 07777777777
❖ Hardware
Every tag comes with two stainless steel split rings (one small, one large) in silver. These are strong, rust-resistant, and help the tag sit facing forward so that personal details don’t show in photos.
❖ Eco-Friendly Packaging
Each tag/keyring is mounted on a backing card and placed inside a small paper envelope, sealed with a sticker. This packaging keeps your tag protected while remaining as environmentally friendly as possible.
UK Legal Requirements for Dog ID Tags
Under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, dogs in public places must wear a collar with the owner’s:

Name (initial and surname)

Address and postcode
A house number and postcode is enough to legally identify your full address—handy for smaller tags.
I strongly recommend adding at least one contact phone number for quick communication if your dog goes missing.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Over time, enamel may fade and the metal may show signs of wear.
To refresh your tag:

Use fine wire wool or a fine nail buffer to clean the surface

Re-fill stamping with Sharpie, paint pen or nail varnish

Wipe excess ink with kitchen paper or a gentle nail varnish remover pad

Finish with a polishing cloth for shine
Metal notes:

Aluminium is the softest metal

Brass is the hardest

Copper and Brass naturally tarnish—easily cleaned with tomato sauce or Brasso
All metals will show wear over time depending on your dog’s lifestyle, environment, and any charms or accessories on their collar.

This item is non-returnable, so please double-check all spelling and punctuation before ordering.
Because each tag is handmade to your customisation, I cannot accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Important Notes
❖ As each design is hand-stamped, slight variations in layout, depth, or alignment may occur. If you prefer a specific font or stamp, please mention this in the customisation box or message me.
❖ Hand-stamping is done using individual stamps and a hammer. This process displaces the metal, meaning some definition may be visible on the reverse side.
If you prefer perfectly uniform engraving, a machine-engraved tag may suit you better.
❖ Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen.
❖ For safety reasons, do not leave your dog unattended while wearing accessories. Always check for wear and tear before use.
